Patricia Ann Savoie Oubre

It is with deep sadness that the family of Patricia Ann Savoie Oubre announces her passing on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Eunice Manor, where she was surrounded by love at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Chapel, followed by her burial at St. Thomas Cemetery, officiated by Father Korey Lavergne.

Patricia was born on December 1, 1940. A devoted homemaker, her life was a testament of love and dedication to God and to her family. Beyond her nurturing spirit, she was a talented local artist, a caring foster parent, and a true animal lover. Her compassion and creativity touched the hearts of many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Patricia leaves behind a cherished family, including her children: Michael Oubre (Tina), Karen LeDoux, and Melanie Cormier (Michael), all of Eunice, and Kim Oubre (Jeremy Manuel) of Lafayette. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her generous heart.

Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Dr. Claude Oubre; her parents, Ariel and Pauline Andrepont Savoie; her sister, Elgie Mae Lafleur; and her brother, Jean Savoie. Their memories continue to bring comfort to those left behind.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during a visitation at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, June 30th, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, July 1st, from 8:00 am until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:00 pm on Monday.
