EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Patricia Bertrand Stroderd announces her passing on Saturday, August 01, 2015 at Opelousas General at the age of 76. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 04, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies Celebrant.

Patricia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her daughters, Jennifer O'Neill and Benjamin Reeves of Eunice, and Erica Frye and husband, Scotty of Sulphur; brother, James Bertrand and wife, Lana of Sulphur; eight grandchildren, John Paul LeBlanc, Emily O'Neill, Austin O'Neill, Tana Frye, Brooke Jones and husband, Eric, Kendall Frye, Riley Frye and Peyton Frye; two great grandchildren, Hayden Grace and Greyson Cale; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Davis Stroderd; parents, Houston and Gladys Schambaugh Bertrand; and son in-law, David Wayne O'Neill.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 3rd from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, August 4th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday evening by Father Kendall Faulk.
