Richard Rachel

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Richard “Ricky” Rachel announces his passing on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX at the age of 64. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Iota with Father Jude Thierry officiating.

Richard, known as “Ricky” to all, enjoyed his dogs, hunting and fishing. He also liked photography and to draw. Richard will be missed dearly by his family, especially his children, Shane Leckelt of Iota, Richard Rachel, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Hoxie, KS, Heather Nicholson and husband, John of Harrison, AR, Tabatha Gary and husband, Dustin of Welsh, and Tiffany Rachel of Wichita, KS; his three stepsons, Harry Hobden and Arthur Hobden, both of Orange, TX, and Howard Hobden and wife, Brandie of Hallsville, TX; grandchildren, Stormy Hobden, Brandy and Sarah Rachel, Nikki Rachel, Sadie Reynolds, Zachary Reynolds, Annie Rachel, Chirs Palomares, and Varian Eli; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Hobden; parents, Joseph and Julia Klumpp Rachel; and siblings, Brenda Pickett and Timmy Rachel.
