EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Roderick Chicken Jenkins announce his passing on Sunday, January 05, 2014 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Eunice with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.

Roderick known to many as Chicken was a welder, great mechanic, an avid hot rod drag racer, and loved being with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him especially his brother, Raleigh Sego Jenkins of Baton Rouge his sister, Oneita J. Kratzer of Eunice niece, Jessica K. Doyle of Ville Platte nephews, Billy and Jason A. Jenkins both of Spring, TX.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Robert and Hazel Brown Jenkins niece, Nancy E. Kratzer and a brotherinlaw, Eddie P. Kratzer.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Eunice on Wednesday, January 8th from 9:00 am until time of services.
