Roland Bordelon

EUNICE - Roland Bordelon, a dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Roland will be remembered and celebrated during a Celebration of Life service at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 10:00 am. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the St. Paul Mausoleum.

Roland was a veteran of the United States Army. His passions included working in his yard and tending to his garden and fruit trees. He also enjoyed fishing. His benevolence extended beyond his hobbies—he generously offered assistance to anyone in need without hesitation. Cherishing his memory are his two sons, Richard Bordelon and Dion Bordelon, both of Eunice; daughter, Danette B. Miller of Eunice; two grandchildren, Miranda Bordelon and Keely Bordelon, both of Eunice; two great-grandchildren, Drake Richard and Malachi Bordelon, both of Eunice; as well as extended family members and friends.

Roland is now reunited with his beloved wife, Verda Mae Bordelon; parents, Albert and Emma LeDoux Bordelon; and siblings, Jesse "Buddy" Bordelon, Frank Bordelon, Hilda Swenson, Irene Reed, and Gertrude Heber. 

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 8:00 am until the commencement of the services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
