Ronnie will be remembered as a hardworking man with a big heart, a love for the outdoors, and a personality that made him truly one of a kind.
Ronald “Ronnie” Coker passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, with his immediate family by his side. Ronnie will be remembered as a hardworking man with a big heart, a love for the outdoors, and a personality that made him truly one of a kind.
A time of visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, September 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until time of services at 1:00 PM. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate the services.
Ronnie was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and could often be found listening to his favorite classic country music while cooking. His years working in the oil field reflected the hardworking nature that was such a big part of who he was. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the races.
Ronnie was not one to sit still for very long. He always had to be doing something, fixing something, or working on his latest project. Keeping busy was simply part of who he was. Those who knew him best will remember his determination, his hardworking spirit, and the many little ways he showed the people around him that he cared.
Most of all, Ronnie treasured the people he loved. His children held a special place in his heart, and he was especially grateful for the friendships he shared with those closest to him. His ex wife, Jamie, who was his best friend, stood by his side through the years and shared many memories with him.
Those left to cherish Coker’s memory include his children, Karlie Coker, Dustin Coker, and Ryan (Brandy) Coker; his siblings, Darrell “Keith” Coker and Sheila Coker; his grandchildren, August Levy, Hudson Coker, and Hayden Coker; and his best friends, Jamie Richard and Donnie Caffrey.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Gabriel Coker; his brother, Kevin Coker; his sister-in-law, Isabel Coker; and his other best friend, Johnny Jacobs.
Though he will be deeply missed, Ronnie’s memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. The love he gave, the memories he made, and the mark he left on those who knew him will remain long after he is gone. May he rest peacefully, knowing he was deeply loved and never will be forgotten.
