BASILE It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Anthony Ortego, 49, announces his passing on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at his residence in Basile. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 08, 2009 at 1:00 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata.
A loving father, brother and friend, he is survived by his son, Ronald Anthony Ortego, Jr. of Cheneyville; a daughter, Sonya Lynn Ortego of Pitkin; brother, Michael Wayne Ortego of Lafayette; three sisters, Greta Patricia Anacker of Denham Springs, Mary Jo McKee of Bridge City, TX, and Susan Ann Wilhelm of Abbeville; and previous wife, Sharon Kay Mahaffey Ortego of Pitkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Greta Joseph Ortego; and paternal grandparents, Willis and Della Ortego.
