Rose Rozas

EUNICE~ Our mom, Rose B. Rozas, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Mausoleum with Father Sensat Celebrant.

Rose, had a love for Cajun Music, Mardi Gras and playing the fiddle. She loved nothing more than cooking and spending time with her family and friends and made a mean German Chocolate Cake. She will be missed by many, but none more than her family, her husband, Albert Rozas, Jr. of Eunice; her nine children, Patrick W. Fontenot and wife, Lavonia of Iota, Deborah F. Oliver and husband, Ronald of Eunice, Charmane F. Richard and husband, Rufus of Eunice, Connie F. R. Guidry and husband, Kevin of Lewisburg, Marcus A. Fontenot of Youngsville, Chantel R. Szabo and husband, Bill of Lynchburg, VA, Neal Rozas of Eunice, Marcus S. Rozas and wife, Rita of Eunice and Albert Rozas,llI and wife, Renee of Ville Platte;  her seven siblings, Joseph Pete Bergeron of Duson, Joyce Brown of Eunice, Bonnie Leferink of Lafayette,  Anna Orr of Clinton, MS, Mary Ann Broussard of Basile, Eunice Leger of Carencro and Bernice Hudson of Eunice; and the joys of her life, her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Harvey Dale James Fontenot; her parents, Menelas and Julia Matte Bergeron; her siblings, Jack, Warren, Nelson and Melvin Bergeron, Yvonne Brown, Della Lee and Delores Conque.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, November 25th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, November 26th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday.
