Selina Ann Fontenot

EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Selina Ann Fontenot on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Memorial graveside services will be held at St. Louis Cemetery at a later time.

      Born on February 21, 1959, in Lafayette to Leroy and Ruth Gautreaux Fontenot, Selina's life was one filled with creativity and love. Her deep passion for interior decorating brought joy to those around her as she transformed houses into homes. Selina had a natural talent for painting and enjoyed expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. Her green thumb was evident in the beautiful flowers she tended to with care. Selina is survived by her children, Justin Doucet of Eunice and Melissa Matlock of Houston, TX; her brother, Tommy Fontenot, and wife Donna of Eunice; sisters, Barbara Cole of Deridder and Donna Fontenot of Estherwood. She also leaves behind seven adored grandchildren, Kodi Manuel, Nickolas Cormier, Gavin Doucet, Jayce Doucet, Beaux Doucet, Makayla Doucet, and Braylon Doucet; along with three great-grandchildren. Her memory will forever be cherished by numerous extended family members and friends.

      Selina is preceded in death by her son, Geary Keith Doucet; parents, Leroy Fontenot and Ruth Fontenot Skipper; her brother, Charles Fontenot; grandson, Seth Manuel, and granddaughter, Hailey Doucet.
