Sophie Guillory

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sophie Ann Bellard Guillory announces her passing on Monday, June 06, 2022 at her home in Calhoun with loving family by her side. She was 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 09, 2022 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Sal Istre, Celebrant.
Sophie worked for South Central Bell for 18 years before finding her passion in interior designing, which she retired from after 25 years. She was a devout Catholic, loved animals, had a fierce love for everyone in her family, and was a friend to many. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, MiMi, and friend, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend of 47 years, Larry Christopher Guillory of Calhoun; daughter, Krista Elizabeth Guillory of Calhoun; siblings, Michael Bellard and wife, Betty of Rayne, Charles Bellard and wife, Jocelyn of Branch, Jude Bellard and wife, Arleen of Eunice, Dale Bellard of Branch, Lynell Guillory and husband, Mitchell of Eunice, and Carolyn Danton and husband, Tommy of Lafayette; grandchildren, Aydan Manning Waggoner, Carter Joseph Waggoner, Caroline Marie Waggoner, and Brantley Chase Waggoner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Joseph Bellard and Laura Lydia Zaunbrecher Bellard; brother, Kenneth Bellard; nephew, Taylor Bellard; and niece, Leslie Bellard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, June 8th from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, ,June 9th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
