Susan F. Leger

EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Susan F. Leger announces her passing on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Acadian Medical Center at the age of 70. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2024, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant.

Susan lived a simple life and found joy in the little things. She had a love for reading and cherished moments spent listening to her country and western music. Above all else, Susan's faith was central to her life. She found solace in attending church and praying in the Adoration Chapel.

Her memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and she will be deeply missed by her loving husband of forty-three years, Randal Leger of Eunice. Susan's legacy also extends to her children: Jeffery Leger and wife, Samantha of Sunset, and Jamie Leger Fontenot of Eunice; her brothers, Donald Deaville and wife, Susan, Ricky Deaville, Keith Deaville and wife, Carlene, all of Eunice; her sister, Brenda Deaville Fontenot of Eunice; five grandchildren, Bricen Leger, Harlie Leger, Isabella Leger, Abriana Leger, and Gabriella Fontenot; great grandson, Jaxson Leger; as well as extended family and friends who were touched by her life.

Susan is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Leger; parents, Horace Deaville and Irma Jean Fontenot; and siblings, Horace Deaville Jr. and Peggy Deaville Comeaux.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm, with a continuation of visitation on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 8:00 am until the time of services. Deacon Ryan Fuselier will pray a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening to honor Susan's life.
