Susan Ann Tims Lomas, born on August 24, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on September 1, 2025, in Opelousas, Louisiana, surrounded by her loved ones.
A devoted and caring individual, Susan will be remembered for her generous spirit Susan had a fulfilling career as a Human Resource Manager in the oilfield, where she demonstrated her commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Her professional accomplishments were matched by her service to her community, particularly at Opelousas First Baptist Church, where she was known for her giving nature and devotion to her faith. Susan often attended Bible study with friends, reflecting her deep faith and the valued relationships she built throughout her life.
In addition to her professional and community endeavors, Susan had a passion for breeding dachshunds and held a special love for Great Danes. These interests brought her great joy and fulfillment, allowing her to connect with both animals and fellow enthusiasts.
Susan is survived by her loving family, which includes her sons, Charles Franklin Lomas and wife Karmen of Eunice, Adam Paul Lomas of Eunice, and Richard Delton Lomas and wife Brooke of Eunice. She is also survived by her daughter, Marsha Ann Lomas Phelps and husband Brent of Sulphur, along with her beloved grandchildren: Allison Beaugh, Christopher Phelps, Jonathan Phelps, and Amberley Lomas. Additionally, she leaves behind her step-grandchildren Jacob Courville, Maci Pousson, and Camen Courville, as well as her cherished great-grandchild Ryleigh Beaugh.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Godfrey Lomas, as well as her parents, Marjorie Mae Cavalier Tims and Charles Franklin Tims, her sister, Charlene Tims Bergeron, and her grandchild, Keldon Kole Lomas.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. A visitation will be held on September 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Bates. Susan will then be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
