EUNICE ~With much sorrow, we announce the passing of Therese "Belle" Prejean who peacefully slipped away in her 79th year with her daughters and family at her side at Acadian Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Randy Moreau Celebrant.

Belle, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. The focus of her life was her loving family especially her precious grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing crafts. Belle's memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her two loving daughters, Kelly Prejean and wife, Roxane of Atlanta, GA and Michelle Easton and husband, John of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Hugh Fontenot of Corona, CA. and Wayne Fontenot and wife, Jackie of Mamou; two sisters, Audrey Martel and husband, Gerald and Juanita Miller and husband, Herman all of Eunice; the four joys of her life, her grandchildren, Noah Prejean, Isabelle, Ava and Lila Easton; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Poleg Fontenot; mother, Media LaFleur Fontenot; step father, Jean Pierre Fontenot and brother, Houston Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, December 5th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, December 6th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite at Rosary at 6:30 pm Monday.
