EUNICE-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Verna LaFleur Hollier announces her passing on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Harvest Manor in Denham Springs at the age of 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.

Verna along with her late husband were Co owners of Eunice Superette and Slaughter House; owner and operator of Hollier's Super Check. She also worked at Ardoin's Clothing Store. She was a lifetime member of the Woodman of the World, a member of Catholic Daughters as well as the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. She loved to cook, play her weekly bourre' game and spend time with her family and friends. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her three beautiful children, Dennis Dale Hollier and wife, Linda of Denham Springs, Keith Hollier and wife, Connie of Mamou, her daughter, Abbie Hollier Marcantel and husband, Dennis of Eunice; sister, Bonnie LaFleur Webb of, CO. She is also mourned by her grandchildren, Desiree Hollier Feucht, Michael Hollier, Dawn Hollier Babineaux, Tami Hollier Vidrine, Dustin Douget, April Miller, and Alex Marcantel; and six great grandchildren, Kohl Feucht, Kaylee and Evan Babineaux, Addison and Gavin Vidrine and Oliver Douget.

Now she rests in heaven with her beloved husband, Dennis Hollier; parents, Orise and Bernadette Vidrine LaFleur and her brothers, Roderick, Allen and Elvin LaFleur; and her sister, Janette Ardoin.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, April 23rd from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, April 24th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.
