EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Wallace Fruge announces his sudden passing on Sunday, January 02, 2011 at his residence at the age of 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Wallace a resident of Eunice serviced his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a retired trucker, but most importantly, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family including his wife, Elverta Fruge of Eunice his son, Bernard Fruge and wife, Valli Marie of Chataignier his step son, Gary Marcantel and wife, Madeline of Eunice his step daughter, Fay Byrd and husband, Tony of Rockingham, N.C. his grandson, Marty Fruge and wife, Nicole and his great granddaughter, Taylor Fruge.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Arnold and Agnes Guillory Fruge his first wife, Mary Lois Fontenot Fruge two brothers, Cleveland and Joseph J.C Fruge his step son, Charles Marcantel and step daughter, Lynn Bertrand.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, January 3rd from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 4th from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
