EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Warrick Mitchell "Big Mitch" Hebert announces his sudden passing on Monday, March 30, 2015, at the age of 55. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 01, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Romero, celebrant.
He was known by his close family and friends as "Big Mitch." He loved to camp and hunt, work in his vegetable garden, and play with his grandkids. He was a loving father, step father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed and loved dearly by everyone who knew him, especially his daughter, Michell Hebert of Lafayette; his two step sons, Jason Thibodeaux and wife, Susan of Eunice and Jeramie Thibodeaux of Richard; his brother, Belvon Hebert of Eunice; three sisters, Gwen Thomassee of Eunice, Maggie Palmer of Franklin and Faye Stroder of Lafayette; his ex wife, Dorene Hebert of Eunice; and the joys of his life, his six grandchildren, Payton Desormeaux, Lane, Tanner, Garrett, Carter and Bailey Thibodeaux.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Virginia Fruge Hebert, and two brothers, Mordello and Irwin Hebert.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 31st from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, April 1st from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
