William Murphy

BASILE-William Lawrence Murphy, 77, a resident of Basile passed away on Tuesday, December 09, 2008 at his residence. A Memorial service will be Celebrated on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice.

Mr. Murphy was a retired Veteran from the United States Navy. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, brother, grandfather, and friend, survived by his wife, Anna P. Murphy of Basile; a son, Jim Murphy of Eunice; a step-son, Tony Marcantel of Tulsa, OK; two step-daughters, Dorothy Staton of Westlake and Audrey Pitre of Kinder; four sisters, Catherine Brooks of Fulton, NY, Loretta Dehm and Madalyn Harris both of Oswego, NY, and Helen Lyons of Auburn, NY; twenty grandchildren. Mr. Murphy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
