EUNICE~Our hearts are heavy as we announce the sudden passing of our loving father, brother, grandfather and friend, Willis Thomas David, on Monday, February 01, 2016 at the age of 75. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Willis was retired from the Evangeline Parish Policy Jury. He worked from sun up to sun down. He loved spending time crawfishing, gardening, squirrel hunting, raising ducks and he loved to go to the Liberty every Saturday. But most of all he loved spending time with his children and cooking for them every Sunday. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. Heaven's gain is our loss. Willis leaves behind his four children; Theresa David Regan and husband, Greg of Egan, Tommy David of Duralde, Carolyn David Bihm and husband, Michael of Duralde and Amy David Fuselier and Todd of Eunice; a brother, Willie John David and wife, Wilda of Duralde; a sister, Mary Lou David Bertrand of Eunice; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Fontenot David; his parents, Plenny and Virginia Manuel David; and his sister, Mary Louise David Veillon.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, February 3rd from 11:00 am until time of services on Thursday, February 4th. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
