EUNICE-Funeral services for Mrs. Yvonne B. Brown will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Mrs. Brown, age 83 and a resident of Eunice, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at 8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Oak Nursing Home in Lafayette. She was a retired seamstress. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brown, Jr.; her parents, Manalas and Julia Bergeron; a brother, Nelson Bergeron; and a sister, Delores Conques.

The visitation will held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., and again on Thursday, July 13, 2006, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

Survivors include her daughters, Jocelyn Brown of Lafayette, and Flo Blanchard and husband, Elton of Eunice; four brothers, Jack Bergeron of Basile, Warren Bergeron and Melvin Bergeron of Eunice, and Pete Bergeron of Duson; eight sisters, Della Lee of Carencro, Joyce Brown, Rose Rozas, and Bernice Hudson all of Eunice, Anna Orr of Jackson, Ms., Bonnie LeFrink of Lafayette, Mary Ann Broussard of Basile, and Eunice Bergeron of Broussard; five grandchildren, Matteo A. Duffy, Jr., C.J. Duffy, Laurie Brinkley, Shannon Blanchard, and Christopher J. Blanchard all of Lafayette; and five great grandchildren, Kai A. Duffy of Baton Rouge, Jourdan Bolling of LaGrange, Ga., Andrew Bickford and Sidney C. Bickford both of Lafayette, and Kennedy R. Blanchard of Augusta, Ga.
