EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Adeius “Junior” Ardoin announces his passing on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette at the age of 86. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Kevin West and Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating, and nephew, Ken Ardoin, speaker.

Adeius, known as Junior to all who knew and loved him, was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion and very involved in the VFW. Junior was very close to his nieces and nephews, and their children, considering them as his own. He was also quite the story teller with a great sense of humor. If you met him once, you would never forget him. He will be missed dearly by all including his nephews and nieces, Ken Ardoin and wife, Carolyn of Reeves, Randy Ardoin and wife, Wynne Gay of San Francisco, CA, Harry Lee Medus of Crowley, Jackie Naquin and husband, Chris of Eunice, and Barbara Ardoin of Phoenix, AZ; other nieces and nephews include, Kitty Cornier, Pam Lafleur Johnson, Cindy Hebert, Silton Matt, Veda Abshire, Myrel France, Patricia Milford, Brenda Cook, Jimmy Dirk, and John Ellis; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Verna Matt Ardoin; parents, Adeius and Amy LeDoux Ardoin;  brothers, S.B. Ardoin, Leroy Ardoin, and Horace Ardoin; nephew, David Ardoin; and niece, Freida Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, January 24th from 10:00 am until time of services. A Veteran Service will be held at 1:00 pm.
