EUNICE ~ With heavy hearts the family of Amy Richard Doucet announces her passing on September 12, 2021, at Eunice Manor at the age of 94. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Edward cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin, officiating.

Amy worked at West Brothers for many years. Her passion was cooking and baking. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her, two grandsons, Delton Doucet and wife, Jonna and Kevin Doucet all of Lake Charles: brother, Arthur “A.B.” Richard and wife, Norma of Crowley; and  sister, Ruby Daigle of Richard; seven grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren. Amy will also be forever remembered by her twenty nieces and nephews and extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Doucet; son, Delton Doucet; parents, Constant and Ovina Miller Richard; brothers, Eurick and Leo Richard; sisters, Alice Menard, Odile Cormier, Lelia Thibodeaux and Bessie Gaudet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13th from 10:00 am until time of services.
