Betty was homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She will be remembered for her unconditional love she had for her children, family and her love she had for music and dancing. Loved by everyone, she never met a stranger. Her warm smile and great hugs will be missed. Betty was a dedicated mother who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She will be missed dearly by her seven children, Roland Fontenot, Sr. and wife, Vickie of Basile, Junior Fontenot of Basile, David Fontenot of Jennings, Randy Fontenot and wife, Rachel of Basile, Audrey Deason and Becky Benoit both of Basile and Yvonne Bart and husband, Junior Bart of Lafayette. She especially loved her role as MawMaw to eighteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
