EUNICE~ It is with the heaviest heart and sadness that the family of Clifford A. Broussard announces his sudden passing on Monday, November 09, 2020 at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 13, 2020 with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Clifford proudly served with the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Eunice High School. He was a member of the St. Landry Parish School Board, Rotary Club and was the Rotary Club citizen of the year and long time President and member of the Eunice High Booster Club. Over the years he was a longtime youth baseball coach as well as an umpire. He was a recipient of the 2014 Coach Joe Nagata Memorial Award regarding his longstanding devotion to Eunice High School Sports. In his free time, he loved to cook and watch football and baseball. But his greatest accomplishment was his marriage to the love of his wife for sixty three years, Bernice Jagneaux Broussard of Eunice; his three loving children, Tracy Broussard and wife, Lynette of Baton Rouge, Paula Broussard Cradeur and husband, Joey and Troy Broussard all of Lafayette; his brother, Roland Broussard and wife, Diane of Baton Rouge and his sister, Dorothy Francois of Eunice. The joys of his life his seven grandchildren, Blake Cradeur and wife, Sarah, Trent Cradeur, Ross Cradeur, Taylor Thames and husband, Brett, Cade Broussard, Sidney Broussard and Seth Broussard; great granddaughter, Baylor Themes; as well as extended family and friends. He was a proud, caring man, and he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Albert Broussard, Sr. and Harisse Fontenot Broussard; his brothers, John and Jack Broussard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice, on Friday, November 13th from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 4:00 pm on Friday.
