Obituary

     BASILE~It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, Conrad D. Marcantel, Jr at the age of 66. A Celebration of Conrad’s Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Basile with Father Keenan Brown, officiating.

     Conrad was born in Mamou on January 15, 1956, to Conrad and Alice Reed Marcantel.  He was a graduate of Basile High School. He went on and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was retired from the Coushatta Casino as a slot technician. Conrad never met a stranger, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his brother, Wade Marcantel of Basile, Susan Marcantel Ardoin of Mamou and Julie Marcantel Conde of Basile; nieces and nephews, Kerrie Holmes Johnson, Lindsay Holmes Castille, William Holmes, Jenna Conde and Alex Conde; as well as extended family and dear friends.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Frank Conde.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
