Deanna Cortez

Basile~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of  Deanna Cortez, announces her passing on Saturday, October 09, 2021, at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley. She was 61. A Celebration of Life will be  celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Basile.

Deanna was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, James Beal of Basile; three children, Heather Cortez and Madeline Beal both of Basile and Jimmie Beal and wife, Keisha of Iota; four siblings, Roger Cortez and Wade Cortez both of Basile, Carolyn Breaux and husband, Ricky of Mowata and Leland Cortez and  wife, Rhonda of Westlake; four grandchildren, Keona Cortez, Tray Cortez, Mariah Chaumont and Tyson Beal and one great grandchild, Ja’Cobley August; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Shane Cortez and parents, L.D. and Gracie Reed Cortez.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at  Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile from  8:00am until time of services.
