Dexter was so proud of his family and he wholeheartedly supported them in all of their endeavors. Their success brought him much joy and wonderful memories. Dexter has always encouraged his children and grandchildren to do well in all aspects of their life and cheered them on in their success.

With a keen  attention to detail, meticulous organization, and a profound skill to develop work ethics in others while  building meaningful relationships has allowed him to pursue and flourish in the work he so enjoyed. It is with this passion, that allowed him to make a  meaningful contribution to his local businesses and industry which in turn, has allowed him to provide for his family. Dexter always led by example. His love for life and his family was unwavering. It was simply…honest and unconditional. He loved his family and friends hard and true and it is with that intensity which made it so easy and natural to love him. He was a testament to his walk of life. One of his favorite mottos was “ It’s all about getting through the gate.” He loved us with everything in him and he taught us how to love with that same intensity.

An incredible husband, a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, and a deeply good man, Dexter will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his loving wife of fifty years, Sunny Guillory of Eunice. He is survived by his wife and loving children, Holly G. Manuel, and husband Steven; Kurt Guillory; Doug Guillory and wife Emily, all of Eunice; his brother, Barry Guillory and wife  Michelle of Baton Rouge and their four children; two sisters, Martha Tanios and husband Simar, of Houston and their daughter  and Fran Stevens of Lafayette and her two children; two brother-in-laws, Wyndel Manuel and wife, Kakee (Miss Magee) and their two children, and Dallas Manuel, Jr of Houston; and  the eight joys of his life, his grandchildren; Logan, Austin and Hudson Manuel, Izic and Adria Guillory, Blakelyn, Ava and Olivia Guillory; as well as his employees,  which were his extended family and friends.
