Donald “Don” Fruge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 21st at the age of 71.  After a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, he will always be remembered for his zest for life.

Donald was born on March 24, 1951 in Eunice, Louisiana, where he attended high school, graduating in 1969. He began his career as a Police Officer with Eunice Police Department for 4 years. He was then employed with Haliburton as a Plant Operator for the next fifteen years. When the oil & gas industry went south in 1990, he started a new career as Warehouse Manager with Flexcon. He was a volunteer teacher of the Sacrament of Confirmation, leader of Charismatic Prayer Group meetings, and served over 40 years as a Eucharistic Minister.

He always lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Donald enjoyed Cinema movies and date nights with his beautiful wife, JoAnn. Popcorn, diet coke, and anything chocolate were his favorites. He loved football weekends with his children watching the Dallas Cowboys and the LSU Tigers. He was always ready to travel, start new projects, and never missed an opportunity to tell “Dad” jokes.
