EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harrison Prather announces the unexpected passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend at the age of 78.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Monday, January 31, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sal Istre, Celebrant.

Harrison was born in Eunice on September 01, 1943, to Clarence and Nita Babineaux Prather. Harrison proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from L.G. Seale and was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus and a volunteer fireman for many years. Harrison will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving wife of fifty- six years, Earline Arabie Prather of Eunice; son, Steven Troy Prather of Gonzales; his granddaughter, Nona Lauren Prather of Gonzales; brother, Henry Lee Prather and wife, Luler of Goose Creek, S.C. as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Wayne Prather; parents; and brother, Burton Comeaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, January 30th from 12 noon until 7:00 pm and again on Monday, January 31st from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a Rosary at 5:00 pm on Sunday.
