Jacob Vige`

EUNICE – It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of Jacob Todd Vige` announces his death on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans surrounded by his mother, granny, and nanny Sue.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice.  Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

Jacob entertained his family with his quick wit and one liners. He was an expert in playing Disney trivia , loved watching movies and enjoyed fishing. But most of all he loved being with his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Angelle Manuel and husband, Hayward of Eunice; his father Bernard Vige` of Eunice; siblings, Andre Vige` and wife, Lindsey of Sherman, TX, Jared Vige` and wife, Rachel of Youngsville, Jeff Manuel and Summer of Lafayette, Rhett Manuel and wife, Kaitie of Eunice, Justin Vige`, Michael Vige` and Madison Vige`; his grandmothers, Sharon Fontenot, and Lois Vige` both of Eunice; godfather, Tommy Fontenot Jr. and wife, Gwen of Eunice. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Tommy Fontenot, and Shirley Vige`; and an uncle, Randy Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, February 18th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, February 19th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Coach Scott Phillips, Kurt Sittig, Jed Joubert, Garrett Daville, Andre Vige’ and Cameron Belfour.
