EUNICE ~ It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Mary Dean McCauley announces her passing on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation at the age of 92. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Dardar officiating.

Mary loved dancing and French music, and could be found every Saturday at the Liberty Theater. Her favorite holiday was Mardi Gras and she always enjoyed company and coffee. She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with them. Mary will be remembered by all, especially by her children, Rickey J. McCauley, Sr. and wife, Rebecca of Eunice, and Bernadine Edwards and husband, Danny of Eunice; grandchildren, Rachelle Matte and husband, Kevin, Kenny Fontenot and wife, Megan, Kevin Fontenot and wife, Kakie, Rickey McCauley, Jr., and wife, Bridget, Melanie Pellican, Ryan Pellican, Damon Pellican and wife, Angie, and Stephanie Smith; step-grandchildren, Cecil Edwards and Dusty Edwards; great grandchildren, Hailey Bellon, Hannah Matte, Logan Matte, Bailey Babineaux, Tanner Fontenot, Cooper Fontenot, Bowen Fontenot, Connor Braquet, Katherine Braquet, Jacob Fontenot, Landyn Fontenot, Violet Fontenot, Carter McCauley, Tyler McCauley, Makayla McCauley, Chloe Fruge, Kaydin Parker, Jared Pellican, Grady Pellican, and Noah Pellican; great-great grandchildren, Rylie Longino and Renesmay Matte; her best friends, Mary Jane Blanchard and Versie Deshotel; and a special thank you to Judy Sitting for her care and friendship; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent McCauley; parents, Cleveland and Lillian Marcantel O’pry; her siblings, Sidney O’pry, Useline Savoy, Dorothy Guillory, Lou Granger, and Sylvia Bourque; granddaughters, Mandy McCauley and Katie McCauley; great grandson, Cary Pellican; and step-great grandson, Taylor Braquet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13th from 10:00 am until time of services.
