Obituary

IOTA-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michael Ray Regan announces his passing on Saturday, July 09, 2022 at his home with loved ones by his side at the age of 62. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, July 15, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry, Celebrant.

      Michael enjoyed gardening, fishing, and the outdoors. He would always watch and feed his squirrels and birds and loved to build things. Michael was very devoted to his faith and was involved in the Cursillo and bringing people to Christ. He will be remembered for being a very sweet, kind-hearted man who did everything out of the loved of his big heart that he had. Michael will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his children, William Crochet and fiancé, Crystal Morgan of Elton, LaKesha Regan and fiancé, Robert Elliott of Gueydan, and Heidi Regan of Egan; his siblings, Christian Regan of Iota and Trudy Regan LeDoux of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Hunter Myers, Autumn Crochet, Gavin Regan, Alanna Myers, Madalynn Crochet, Rachel Crochet, Mary Crochet, and Kai Louviere; as well as extended family and friends.

     He is preceded in death by parents, Francis and Julia LeJeune Regan, and brother, Jeffery Regan.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, July 14th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm, and again on Friday, July 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.
