EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Nelton Joseph “Blue” Andrepont announces his passing on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Eunice Manor at the age of 86. A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Sensat, officiating.

“Blue” as he was known to everyone enjoyed cooking, fishing, squirrel hunting and dancing.  He also loved spending time with his family and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory, his six children, Marcus Andrepont and wife, Francine Manuel of Lafayette, Lela “Tina” Andrepont Guidry of Eunice, Joey Overmyer and wife, Linda of Lake Charles, Jim Milner and wife, Janine of Moss Bluff, Luke Guillory and wife, Janice of Kinder and Donna Miller of Eunice; his daughter-in-law, Connie Andrepont; his five step children, Tommy Berzas, Marsha Ann Taylor and Henry Fontenot, Jr. all of Kinder; Verla Fontenot, Jerilyn Fontenot of Eunice; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Lela Daigle Andrepont, first wife, Anna Chautin Andrepont; second wife, Ruby Hebert Arnold; third wife, Geraldine Caswell Andrepont; son, Anthony Andrepont and a brother, Joseph Curtis Andrepont.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 16th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 17th from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary is pending.

Blue’s family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Eunice Manor Nursing Home for the exceptional care that he received while a resident for the past ten years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana or the charity of their choice.
