Patsy Fontenot

BASILE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patsy Ann Fontenot announces her passing on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown Celebrant.

Patsy loved to quilt, sew, and collect dolls. She was the dancing queen at the Eunice Manor parties. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-eight years, Norris Fontenot of Basile; her four children, Ernest Fontenot and wife, Tamara of Church Point, Rosie Phillips and fiancé, Jody Moss of Lake Charles, Thomas “Tommy” Fontenot of Ft, Lauderdale, FL and Bonnie Fontenot Dupre and husband, Marshall, Jr. of Eunice; her sister, Priscilla Fontenot of Basile; eleven grandchildren, Jacob Fontenot, Carolyn Fontenot Nereaux, Stephen Fontenot, Jonah Fontenot, Theresa Fontenot, Catherine Fontenot, Aaron Fontenot, Morgan Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Landon Dupre and Abbie Dupre; three-great grandchildren, Danielle Phillips, Beatrice Fontenot and Juniper Nereaux; as well as  extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Malise Vidrine Fontenot and her sister, Juanita F. Guillory.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, December 8th from 8:00 am until time of services.
