Phillip Young

BASILE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phillip Young announces his passing on Friday, October 29, 2021, in the comfort of his home at the age of 48. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Inurnment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown, Celebrant.

Phillip loved many things, including Stevie Nicks and animals, but most of all he loved his family. He  will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him, especially his father, Harry Young and wife, Shara of Basile; his mother, Barbara Fruge and husband, Earline of Basile; sister, Amy Johnson and husband, Mike of Rayne; nephews, Jerik Thibodeaux and Jett Bourgeois; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris and Alicia Veronie Young, and Richard and Elda Ardoin Langley.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile on Tuesday, November 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. The Catholic Daughters will lead the Rosary at 9:30 am on Tuesday.
