Reven Joseph Deshotel

EUNICE-It is with the heavy hearts that the family of Reven Joseph Deshotel announces his passing on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home at the age of 72. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Platin Cemetery.

Reven was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He was a proud LSU Tiger fan and enjoyed playing golf in his past years. Reven was also a supporter and member of the Opelousas Rotary Club where he held many different ranks and positions. Reven will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, including his children, Todd Deshotel, and Laurie D. Fontenot and husband, Williams, all of Eunice; his four grandchildren, Morgan Sonnier, Myka Deshotel, Randi Jo Deshotel, and Ross Fontenot; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lindey and Virgie Foret Deshotel; brothers, J.R. Deshotel and Clyde Deshotel; and grandson, Dylan Todd Deshotel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, November 11th from 12 pm until time of services.
