Teta Deshotel

EUNICE~ With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Teta Deshotel, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the comfort of her home at the age of 69 surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Inurnment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Sal Istre, Celebrant.

Teta was born on July 09, 1952, in Mamou to Junior and Pee Wee LeJeune and was a 1970 graduate of Eunice High School. She was a salesman for Sterling Automotive. Teta had a deep love for her family and cherished the time they would spend together and enjoying cooking on Sundays for her family.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She was a loving and devoted mother to Todd Deshotel and Laurie D. Fontenot and husband, William all of Eunice. The four joys of her life, her grandchildren, Morgan Sonnier, Myka Deshotel, Randi Deshotel and Ross Fontenot; as well as extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Dylan Todd Deshotel, brothers, Dennis and Richard LeJeune and her niece, Tasha LeJeune.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, May 21st from 10:00 am until 12:45 pm.
