Theresa Lafleur Lejeune

EUNICE-It is with the heavy hearts that the family of Theresa LaFleur LeJeune announces her passing on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Clement, Celebrant and Deacon Gary Gaudin assisting.

Theresa loved to bake, garden, crochet, quilt, and enjoyed her chickens. She was a mother to all and memories of her will be cherished, especially by her children, Dolan LaFleur and wife, Rhonda, Patricia Vizena and husband, Eric, and Catherine Savant and husband, Mitchell, all of Eunice; step-children, John LeJeune and wife, Lori of Dallas, TX, Adelle Fuselier and husband, Donnie, Michelle LeJeune, and David LeJeune and wife, Cindy, all of Eunice; sister, Shelva McCauley and husband, Rodley of Baton Rouge; ten grandchildren, Sarah Webster, Tony LaFleur, Tiffany Thibodeaux, Jeigh Lynn Reed, Cody LaFleur, Kari Fruge, Erica Arnaud, Rick LaFleur, Bonnie Edmonds, and Jon-Eric Vizena; twenty six great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray John LaFleur and Jesse LeJeune; sons, Richard John LaFleur and James “Jimbo” LaFleur; parents, Alfred and Inez Pelloquinn Fuselier; siblings, Roland Fuselier, Betty Aguillard, and Terri Godeaux Sonnier; and granddaughter, Tina Therese LaFleur.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, December 9th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, December 10th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
