EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Valgene Joseph Dupre announces his passing on Tuesday, June 21, 2021 in the comfort of his home at the age of 85. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Valgene enjoyed watching westerns, loved his gun collection, and raising exotic birds. He enjoyed making wine, jewelry, and became an enthusiast in anything he was interested in. He leaves behind his lovely wife of sixty- five years, Yvonne Huckaby Dupre of Eunice, four sons, Greg Dupre and Randy Dupre of Eunice, Donnie Dupre and Danny Dupre and wife, Brandi, all of Branch; two brothers, Carol and Izzie Dupre, both of Richie; sister, Iris Miller of Eunice; many grandchildren and great grandchildren both by blood and by heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix, Sr and Iris Christ Dupre; daughter, Tina Dupre and brother, Felix Dupre, Jr.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, June 24th from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Friday, June 25th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a Rosary at 6:00 pm Thursday.
