Robert Maybrier

BASILE~It is with the heaviest hearts  and great sadness that the family of Robert Maybrier announce his passing on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette with loving family by his side. He was 66. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment  will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown Celebrant

Robert a Basile High graduate who worked his entire life with  Maybrier Production and Maybrier Well Service. He loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and flint-knapper and he  belonged to the National Archaeology Society. He loved animals and his favorite dog, Noah  but most of all he loved his family especially his loving wife of forty years, Phyllis B. Maybrier of Basile; his two wonderful children, Robert Blake Maybrier and wife, Ashley of Basile and Katelyn Maybrier Borrissov and husband, Mihail of Lafayette; his sweet mother, Donnis Maybrier; his three siblings, Ricky Maybrier and wife, Diane, Johnny Maybrier and JoAnn Smith and husband, Craig all of Basile; the five joys of his life, his grandchildren, Ethan Westley, Riley Cooper, Ilyana Ami and Everly Grace Maybrier and Emiliya Marie Borissov; as well as extended family and friends.  Robert will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, O.D. “Buck” Maybrier.

At the request of the family, visitation will  be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile on Saturday, November 28th from 10:30 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 12 noon on Saturday.
