Vernon Smith

EUNICE~ On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Vernon G. Smith, brother, uncle and friend passed away in the comfort of his home at the age of 79.  A Celebration of Vernon’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the MT. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Brent Shoalmire, officiating.

Vernon was a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to cook. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his brother, Jimmy Smith and wife, Brenda of Eunice; sisters, Lorraine S. Lavergne and husband, Jeff of Kinder and Debbie A. Smith of Eunice; two nephews, Dean Lavergne of Kinder and Jeremy Briscoe of Egan; two nieces, Sandy Stevens and husband, Mike of Bell City and Jeannie Weise and husband, Ryan of Baton Rouge; as well as extended family of friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Smith and parents, Allen and Hazel Aguillard Smith.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, September 15th from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, September 16th from 8:00am until time of services.
